Baxter

He’s a male Pug, 5 years old, and a bundle of cuteness. He goes by Noo-moo-too, Puh-poosh-ku, Schmoops, Poops, and at times, Dumbass.
We got Baxter 4 and a half years ago or so - actually, I got him. Well, I paid for him. But Michael was driving when we went to pick him up. We met the “breeder” (still wondering about that) in some tiny town (I think Benett?) north on I-70. It was freezing. The breeders had the pups in two big plastic bins with some blankets. There were about 8 puppies total, which is unusal for a pug litter. I picked up another little guy first. He didn’t react very much to me - just kind of looked at me. I thought, “Hmm…I’ll try the next one.” And there he was. I picked him up and he immediately starting licking me like a maniac, tail-wagging and just wiggling all over in general. What a cutie. I was hooked. I paid the breeders and cuddled Baxter in my arms all the way home. He slept almost the whole way. Things really haven’t changed since.
Baxter is a very happy, friendly little guy. He greets everyone at the door with a toy in his mouth, tail wagging. If he REALLY likes you he whines. He loves food, loves to bark at people and dogs in the alley behind our house, loves to play with his best buddy Tanner (a Visla who lives next door), and probably more than anything, loves to lick. And lick. And lick.
